Additional hair is added to make the plate longer and thick. Artificial flowers are used to smarten the punjabi bridal hairstyles.
Parted hair style
Parted hairstyle is generally used by those Punjabi brides, who have the ceremony of vermillion in their religion. In these cases, the groom needs to put vermillion or sindoor on the hair partition of the bride, so a parted hairstyle, makes it easier for the groom to carry the process. A plate, jooda, or a loose hairstyle is done after the parting in the front.
Curls or straightened hair
Many brides, who have small hair, also go for curls or pressing of the hair. Though these are simple styles, yet they look very elegant. Curls with roses on it or beaded arrangement looks amazing and serves her purpose of stealing attention of every single person present in the wedding ceremony.
The bride should complement the hairstyle with her dress and Jewellery. The face structure and the length of the neck of the bride need to be kept in mind, before finalising her hairstyle. The hairstyle should not be made heavy, because the bride has to carry it for long. So, the weight of the accessories on Hairstyle should be tolerable and according to the brides stamina. Its not important to deck up the bride with loads of jewellery, loud make up and heavy hairstyle, what is more important, is that it should suit her personality and she is able to present it well.
